We got a request for a Vic Fuentes one shot, but it said I could choose the plot and what happened. So I had the girl meet Vic at a carnival and then ran with it from there. This is probably the longest fic I’ve done, I couldn’t figure out how to end it haha. Enjoy!
I was getting ready to go to the carnival that was in town with a couple of friends. I didn’t really want to go, I’d rather be at the Pierce The Veil concert that was also in town tonight but I couldn’t get tickets. I was super bummed about that, because this was the 3rd time I missed out on their concert because my I had other things to spend my money on besides a concert. Living on my own hindered my ability to spend money on things I really wanted. Pierce The Veil was my favorite band ever and the lead singer Vic was just so cute, I really wanted the opportunity to meet him. I sighed as I pulled on a loose fitting tank top, a pair of shorts, and my black vans. I slightly curled my hair and then picked up my phone to look at my texts. My friends said they’d be there in a couple of minutes, so I grabbed my bag and went to the front door to wait. As soon as I reached the door, my friends pulled up honking.
I walked out to the car and hopped in the backseat. My friends excitedly said hi and I said hi back, hugging the friend that was accessible in the back seat with me. We took off and were at the carnival in just over 10 minutes. There were four of us so we decided to split up into twos and see what we’d like to do for the day and then get back together soon after. I was walking around with my friend Bethany, our arms clinging together. I pointed out a few rides I’d like to do and Bethany pointed to a few food places.
After a little while we met back up with Meredith and Carrie, and since there were a few rides we’d all like to do we went to the ticket booth to get wristbands for a ride pass. We went on a couple of rides and then decided we wanted to grab some lunch from one of the stands. We all wanted different things but we decided to stick together until we all had our food and then sit down. Bethany and Meredith had gotten their food, and we were looking for something for Carrie and me.
I looked at the corn dog stand briefly and then looked away back ahead. I quickly whipped my head back around. That long brown curly hair, those muscled arms, the skinny jeans… that couldn’t be Vic Fuentes could it? No, I told myself, it can’t be. I kept walking ahead slowly, still looking at the man. The man in the booth handed him a corn dog and he turned around. It WAS Vic.
“Holy shit!” I yelled to my friends, causing them to stop. “That’s Vic!” I squealed. They knew all about him, they listened to Pierce The Veil a little but weren’t as into is at I was. They liked music a little less heavy than I listened to, but I talked about him a lot so they knew about Vic.
“Are you sure, Delphine?” Meredith asked me. “Why would he be here? Isn’t there a concert tonight?”
“Yeah, but that’s him! Maybe he heard about this place and wanted to check it out, I don’t know, I have to say hi!” I yelled excitedly to my friends. He started walking the other direction but I went after him. “I’ll be back stay there!” I said to the group I left behind.
I quickly reached where Vic was walking and took a second to calm myself down before tapping on his shoulder so I wouldn’t freak him out. After I tapped him on the shoulder he turned around to face me. Wow. His eyes were so beautiful, his face so precious. I lost my words for a moment until I noticed him giving me a questioning look.
“Uh… Hi. Vic?” He nodded. I took another breath to calm myself. I didn’t even know what I had planned on saying. “I uh… I just wanted to say hey. I love Pierce The Veil, and I love your voice.” I said shakily.
Vic smiled and extended his hand. “Hi, it’s nice to meet you. What’s your name?” he asked.
I took his hand in mine to shake it. His hand was so incredibly soft for playing guitar so often. “Delphine” I responded.
“That’s a very pretty name, nice to meet you Delphine.” Vic responded. “Are you coming to the show later?” he asked.
I made a sad face. “No, I really wanted to… I’ve missed you coming here three times in a row now, but since I’m living with no roommate I have no spare cash.” I laughed softly.
Vic pouted. “Well that’s no fun.” He responded. I nodded in response. “Well why don’t you come with me? I’ll let you in and you can watch side stage!” He suggested.
My jaw dropped open. “Wait, are you serious?” I asked nervously.
Vic nodded. “It’s not fair that you’ve missed us so much. Plus there must have been some reason that you saw me here today.” He smiled at me. “Are you here with some one? Or would you like to hang out for a while? I didn’t come with the guys today I’m just here by myself.” He laughed.
I thought for a moment. “Well… I’m with a few friends, but I’d love to hang out with you. I’ll go talk to them and see if they’d mind?” I said, pointing to my three friends standing a short distance away.
He nodded. “Of course, go ahead I’ll be here.” He smiled and I smiled back, then turned around and headed back to my friends calmly as I could.
“What did he say!” Carrie asked as I approached them.
“Well… um he told me he’d bring me to the concert and let me watch side stage. And he also wants me to come hang out with him at the carnival for the rest of the day?!” I squealed quietly so Vic wouldn’t hear me.
“Oh my god are you serious!?” Meredith squealed loudly and jumped up and down. I glanced back at Vic and he was chuckling.
“Shh!” I shushed Meredith. “I don’t want him to think I’m crazy, Mer!” I giggled. “So, uh. Do you guys mind if I go with him?” I questioned.
“Are you serious?” Bethany asked. “You need to go with him! Things like this don’t happen all the time!” she continued.
“Go!” Meredith said, shooing me off.
“Use protection!” Carrie whispered as I walked away. I turned around to flip her off and she winked at me.
I giggled as I walked back to Vic. I got to him and he waved. I waved back and smiled. “So what did they say?” Vic giggled, I knew he had heard Meredith freaking out, I just hoped he hadn’t heard what Carrie said as I was walking away.
My cheeks reddened as I thought of him hearing the last bit. “They said go ahead.” I smiled.
“Are they fans, would they like to come too? They seemed pretty excited.” He asked, nodding back at them.
I glanced back and they were still standing there. I shook my head and laughed. “They listen but they don’t like the band as much as I do, and I don’t think they’d have much fun… They just know I think you’re cute so –“ I stopped myself as I realized what I had said. “Oh, shit.” I whispered as my cheeks got red again.
Vic chuckled and wrapped his arm around my shoulder. “It’s okay, I think you’re cute too.” He said softly as he leaned towards my ear. I shuddered at his words. I looked up at him and he winked.
I was speechless. Did he really think I was cute? He couldn’t, could he?
“So what do you want to do today, Delphine?” Vic asked, a smile on his lips. “Have you had lunch yet?”
“No we were just looking for food when I saw you.” I laughed.
“Oh, okay so what do you want to eat?” He asked.
I thought for a moment. “Hmm. I think I want a taco bowl.” I said.
Vic smiled. “Ok, I think I saw a stand over that way.” He pointed in the opposite direction, away from my group of friends who I noticed were still standing there and watching us. I smiled at them and waved as Vic and I started walking towards where he saw the taco bowl stand. Vic continued walking with his arm wrapped around my shoulder.
We found the stand, and I ordered what I wanted. I pulled out my money, but Vic pushed it aside and paid for me.
“Vic, you didn’t have to pay for me.” I said as I received the food I had ordered.
“Oh, don’t worry about it. Thanks for hanging out with me so I don’t look like a loner.” He laughed and then leaned in and kissed my cheek.
My cheeks reddened when his lips came into contact with my cheek. I couldn’t believe this was happening. Was he serious about thinking I was cute?
“I’m sorry, Delphine. Was that uncalled for? I just really think you’re cute…” Vic said, as if he were reading my mind.
“D-do you really?” I asked shyly.
He nodded with a confused look on his face. “Why wouldn’t I? You’re beautiful.”
I smiled. “And no, that wasn’t uncalled for.” I reassured him. “Come on, let’s sit so I can eat this?” I suggested.
We found some tables nearby and took a seat. Vic sat across from me, and held his hand out on the table, suggesting I should take his hand. I smiled and slipped my hand into his happily as I ate my food.
When I finished eating, Vic took my plate and threw it away. When he returned he held out his hand for me to take it and stand up. I slipped my hand into his again and let him pull me off the table.
We walked around hand in hand, looking at various things and playing some games. After a while I got a text. I wanted to make sure that it wasn’t my friends needing something or wanting me to leave with them so I looked at it.
Get some! –Meredith
I looked around, she must have seen us somewhere. I spotted her smiling and waving with the rest of the girls a little ways away. I chuckled and shook my head.
“What’s up?” Vic asked.
“My friends are just being dumb.” I said laughing, quickly putting away my phone and pointing to them. Vic waved, and they waved back and smiled.
“Oh.” Vic laughed. “Do you want to go on some rides or something?”
“Yeah, there’s a few I haven’t gotten to yet.” I replied. “When do you have to leave for the concert?”
“Just a couple of hours.” He replied.
“Ok, just tell me when you have to go, I’ll go back to my friends or something and then I’ll just meet you at the concert? Will I be on a guest list or something?” I asked.
Vic gave me a concerned look. “Oh, you don’t have to meet me later… I was going to take you after we leave here and go straight to the venue with you.” He laughed. “You’re so adorable, why would I make you come back later when you’re already with me?” Vic leaned in and pecked me on the cheek. “Does that sound okay?” He asked.
I smiled and nodded. It sounded perfect; I really didn’t want to leave him I was having so much fun with him.
“Okay, let’s head for the rides then.” He said, turning to leave. He waved at my friends again to tell them bye, and I waved too.
A lot of rides and a couple of hours later, it was 2:30 and Vic said that we needed to leave now so that he could get back for sound check before the guys killed him. I texted Meredith and told her that I’d be leaving with Vic and she responded with something inappropriate. I laughed and we headed for the Venue. Since the guys were on tour and had no car, Vic had walked here because the venue was really close to the carnival. We walked hand in hand the whole way.
We got to Pierce The Veil’s bus outside the venue and Vic led me to the door of the bus and opened it for me, letting me walk on before he did. I climbed the steps and in front of me sat Jaime, Mike, and Tony who were in the front lounge watching TV. They all stopped watching and trailed their eyes over to me, all giving me confused looks before they saw Vic climb up the steps behind me.
“Hey guys, this is Delphine.” Vic said, placing his arm on my lower back and leading my forward with him. “This, I’m sure you know, is Jaime, Tony, and my brother Mike.” He gestured to the boys.
They all said hi to me and shook my hand. “A fan?” Mike mouthed to Vic when he thought I wasn’t looking.
“No, guys she’s cool. Be nice?” Vic responded to his brother, and to what the other boys were probably thinking. They all nodded and smiled. Vic gestured to me to sit down across from the guys. “Here, sit with them for a minute while I get changed okay? I’ll be back soon I just have to change my shirt.” He locked eyes with me while I nodded. He quickly took my hand and gave it a squeeze before giving the guys a stern look to be nice to me and then headed to the back of the bus.
“So… You ran into Vic at the carnival?” Jaime said after a moment of awkward silence and them staring at me.
I smiled at Jaime. “Yeah, I was just telling him it was nice to meet him and I loved the band. He asked if I was coming to the show tonight and I told him I couldn’t get a ticket so he offered that I come with him.” I was playing with my hands but looked up when I finished talking.
Tony smiled. “Awesome. Nice to meet you.” He said to me.
A couple minutes of awkwardness later, Vic returned with a clean shirt and his hair brushed out. “Ready to go?” He said to me, extending his hand to help me up. “I hope the guys weren’t too terrible to you.” Vic said, as he linked his hand in mine, tilting my chin to make me look at him. He started leaning in to kiss me, but last second he kissed my cheek instead.
“Come on.” He whispered, dragging my hand towards the door of the bus. “Guys, you better be inside within 10 minutes! We have to sound check soon!” He called back before exiting the bus. He got a collection of “yeah, yeah’s” from the guys as he shut the door.
He had let go of my hand but told me to come inside with him. I realized there were girls in line already and understood why he let go of my hand. Vic flashed his pass at the security guard and had us let into the venue. I followed him into one of the dressing rooms in the back. I know I should get some sort of bad feeling in a situation like this, but I trusted Vic a lot. He was a sweetheart and he was really fun to hang out with, and I really didn’t think he was doing this for sex.
He shut the door and then motioned to a chair on the other side of the room. “You can sit if you want.” He said to me. I nodded and crossed the room to sit. “I just have to do warm-ups. It’s going to get really weird and I apologize in advance.” He said, flashing his gorgeous smile at me.
I laughed. “It’s okay. My sister is a singer. I grew up around it.” I said to Vic.
“Oh, really?” Vic asked.
“Hm. Cool.” He said, before starting his warm-up routine.
When he was done warming up, he turned to me. “Ok, let’s go” he said. I stood up and walked towards the door. “Wait.” Vic said. He took my wrist gently and spun me around to face him. My breath hitched in my throat in anticipation as my body came into contact with his chest. He leaned in and gently pressed his lips to mine, fitting them perfectly together. Our lips moved effortlessly together for a few seconds before he pulled away.
“I’m sorry.” He said. “I just really wanted to do that at the bus but the guys, especially my brother, would have said something dumb about it. I just really like you, Delphine. And I’m sorry if I’m moving too fast, this might be weird for you but –“
I cut him off by pressing my lips to his again. “It’s fine, Vic.” I finally said after breaking the kiss again. Vic smiled at me and I smiled back. He took my hand and let me to the main part of the venue where the stage was. The guys were all setting up their instruments, tuning and what-not. Vic pointed to an area off stage and told me to wait there while they sound checked.
After sound checking went great, we chilled for a bit on the bus before it was their time to play. When it was their turn to go on, I watched from the side. I had the time of my life. It was my first concert and it was the best experience of my life. Vic sounded great and I loved it. I couldn’t believe I had this opportunity thrown at me.
When the concert was done, Vic ran off stage and hugged me tight. “You were great, Vic! That was so awesome thank you so much for letting me come!” I said excitedly.
Vic leaned in and pressed his lips to mine passionately for a moment. “Thanks hun!” Vic hugged me again. “And don’t worry about it, I loved having you here.” He said to me.
We walked back to the bus, with me just a short ways behind Vic so the fans wouldn’t get upset. We got back on the bus and Vic took a quick shower since he was all sweaty. When he returned he put me on his lap in the front lounge. I suddenly remembered that my friends brought me to the carnival and I had no ride home.
“Oh, shit. Vic?” I said, looking at him.
“Hmm?” He questioned.
“I have no ride home…” I started.
Vic thought for a moment. “So how ‘bout you don’t go home?” He laughed.
“What are you saying?” I asked, confused.
“Why don’t you come on a few more dates of the tour? I really would hate to see you go after having so much fun today.” Vic gave me sad puppy dog eyes.
I laughed into his neck. “But my job…” I said. Actually, thinking about it… I really hated my job and wanted a new one anyway who cares if they’d fire me? “Hmm… wait. I actually don’t care all that much about that job.” I said to Vic, laughing again. “But how would I get back after that?”
“I’ll fly you out, if you promise to see me again after that.” He said, kissing my lips gently.
“Of course!” I said as I nuzzled into his neck. “I’m really excited now, Vic.”
“Me too.” He smiled at me, kissing the top of my head.
“Wait, one more thing!” I said “These are the only clothes I have.”
“Hmm. I’ll take you shopping when we get to the destination tomorrow. We have an off day tomorrow so we can do whatever we want to.” Vic said, and I nodded, nuzzling back into his neck and wrapping my arms around him.
Who would have thought? This morning I woke up, bummed that I couldn’t come to a Pierce The Veil Concert. Now just over 12 hours later I’m sitting here cuddling with Vic Fuentes, on his bus, and about to leave for a few dates of their tour with him. This cannot even be real life.
